Slight imperfections along the edges are typical for ceramic pieces, reflecting their delicate, handcrafted quality. Imported directly from Poland.
The Żukowo school was founded in 1935, largely inheriting the tradition of post-monastery embroidery by the Norbertine nuns. Its main proponents were the sisters Jadwiga and Zofia Ptach from Żukowo, who inherited their embroidery skills from their grandmother, Marianna Okoniewska. The Żukowo school is based on seven colors: three shades of blue, red, yellow, green, and black. Currently, this is the most widespread and recognizable pattern of Kashubian embroidery.
